Incomprehensible! That is how Henrik Sahlberg, Managing Director of the renowned Danish dairy lidding manufacturer Primoreels, describes the situation the company was left in after a devastating fire in September 2020.
The fire significantly reduced the manufacturing capacity since part of the production was affected, so all attention was focused on finding alternative ways of getting back to full production as quickly as possible. We turned to GM for help, Henrik Sahlberg explains, We can always count on GM for fast and reliable service, and this time was certainly no different. They readily offered us to use their facilities only 45 minutes away – until we could get our old production facilities back into full operation.
Uffe Nielsen, CEO of GM, adds: We have just recently relocated to a modern production plant with an area of 9,000 sqm (97,000 sq. ft), and conveniently, we still have access to our old premises. With some minor adjustments on two of our pre-owned finishing lines, DC350 and DC350MINI, Primoreels was able to continue their production at our old facilities.
Primoreels A/S which was founded in 2008 has become an established partner for manufacturers in the dairy sector and the water/juice industry. The company offers a diverse range of PET lids and printing solutions which include OPP plastic membranes, especially used in the UF feta cheese production.
