AutoKnives slitting

With AutoKnives slitting, you can set your slitting knives in three different ways: Fill in the table on the touchscreen with the size of your labels, scan the generated barcode or simply reload an existing job from the harddrive. Then simply press "Place" on the touchscreen and the automatic slitting station will set the knives according to your request in a matter of seconds. Setting four knives takes approximately 20 seconds.


Setting up the slitting knives on a digital finishing line is one of the most time-consuming tasks for the operator.

Now the operator can simply press a button to automatically position the knives. It saves hours of make-ready times each week on short-run jobs. The knives can be set based on an existing job by loading a file, manually entering dimensions, or scanning a QR code printed with a digital press. AutoKnives slitting is compatible with CERM, LabelTrax, ESKO, XML systems, which can be used for job configuration. Intelligent design ensures the fastest job turn-around time and best return of investment.

The AutoKnives slitting is currently one of the only stations in the market supporting both shear slitting and razor slitting in the same unit. The unit has a large magazine holding up to 16 blades.

Existing customers can enjoy the modular concept of the GM machines. All existing finishing GM units are compatible with the auto slitting system and can easily be upgraded.
